Pretty in Pink

This poster was created Semester 3. We were to create a Fashion Event poster that supports the Charity of our choice. I picked the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation and tried to incorporate the foundations main colour, pink, into the poster. We also had to create a ticket to compliment the poster. The company logo and Charity logo were created on Adobe Illustrator, since we also had to make our own logos.

RETAIL SIGNING

For this assignment, we had to create in-store signage for a retailer of our choice. We were able to choose from images given and then choose a suitable retailer that complimented the image. Since La Vie En Rose carries bathing suits, I decided to use them. The logo was taken from Brands of the World; however, using Illustrator, I changed the colour of the logo to compliment the colours chosen for the posters. There were also several effects from In Design used in the posters to create the final piece.

The Sweet Escape

This assignment was overall a great learning experience. We were given a list of changes we needed to make to the images given. We had to clean up the background, floor and skin of the model. We had to fill in her eyebrows as well as fix any makeup errors. We had to change the colour of the gumball in the image on the right from pink to purple. We had to give the model more of a waist since her waist was hidden in the original image by the shapeless jacket. The umbrella was also fixed as the glare from the camera gave the illusion that a side was missing. Therefore, a panel of the umbrella was cloned and adjusted to fix the problem. More bubble gums were also added to the image on the left to seem as if bubble gums were falling from the sky.

Why so BLUE?

This assignment gave us the chance to play with Photo Shop. The colours of the images in the layout were changed to match the theme which was "Why so blue?" The idea of the assignment was to make a magazine spread that shows product of a specific theme.

Tyra Comp Card

In the assignment, we had to make a model comp card. We had to find images with high resolution so that they printed clear. All work was done on In Design.

Assignment 1 - Model Mosaic

The model mosaic was the first official Photo Shop assignment in the program. We had to find high resolution images for a model of choice that fit into the layout proportionately. We had to ensure all margins were equal and the images were not skewed.
